workshop offers owners and contractors the

opportunity to learn about the dramatic

durability increases that can be realized from

relatively small increases in in-place densities.

This course will follow national standards and each participant will be certified to perform CPR and administer basic First Aid and learn to use AED equipment. There is a course maximum of 15 participants.

Participants will be trained in fundamental concepts, usage, and procedures to ensure MUTCD compliance. They will receive comprehensive training from a qualified, experienced instructor. Knowledge of pertinent government regulations and knowledge of required equipment. Training in different types of traffic patterns. Training in approved flagging methods. In addition, the materials and information provided will include Part 1, 5, 6 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Flagging Handbook and Certification Card.

Purpose: To meet the requirements of Arizona Revised Statute 28-653 for flaggers to have recurrent training every four years covering the knowledge and skills for correct flagging procedures in workzones.

Topics and Objectives: Topics include flagging procedures, correct signing and personal protective equipment, emergency procedures, and the applications where flagging is needed.

Designed for: Maintenance, Traffic, Construction and others who do flagging work as a part of their duties. 

Repeat every 4 years by statute.
