This program is divided into two parts.  The first describes the benefits of using snow fences based on the needs of chief administrative officers.  The second part explains how fences work and key elements for properly constructing effective ones.

This video and booklet promote the use of road weather information systems (RWIS) and anti-icing as effective snow and ice control methods.  By comparing a more traditional method of reactive snow maintenance with the progressive, preventive method utilizing RWIS and anti-icing chemicals, the video stresses the advantages of such a winter maintenance policy.
